Thanks for the new Civic Hybrid update. Kinda fills back in for the discontinued Insight? Honda Hybrids do seem to be the way to go. Not keen on no spare, but guess that's one minor negative. I'd likely get a quality plug kit to carry, rather than use slime.

They must have changed a lot of components of this engine compared to the old 2.0H LNF. For sure I know they switched from port to direct injection, but it's quite odd that there's issues with the pistons. That wasn't an issue with any of the older iMMD systems. Do you know if they've managed to get rid of the AC condenser issues in this car that the 10th gen had?

My 2020 Accord hybrid EX-L had a sticker price of ~$33k. How crazy the inflation has been these years!

I love the looks of these, but for a few thousand more, you can get a Prius with memory, adjustable lumbar, and ventilated seats, heated rear seats, smart parking, and a few other features. Really wish you could get some of these features in the Civic. They dont even put them on the Integra, which is ashamed. Some of us like small cars with all the same features of larger cars. Personally every vehcile with rear seats and 4 doors should have rear air vents.

Why couldn't they put the CRV hybrid battery under the seats like in the Civic? I can't help but wonder if it's the same battery and electric motors. Regardless, it looks very promising.

hate the look of wheel. Should of stuck with their tried and true. I'm hoping the Hatchback version we can add spare tire cleanly, unlike the Type R which does not appear a clean install.

This is the way to go for the Civic. The LX and Sport trims don't give you any bang for your buck over a 2.0L Subaru Impreza.

Does the transmission fluid need to be drained before changing the transmission filter? My dealership failed to change the filter but did just replace the ATF.

BTW, I had my Acura to the dealer today and the service manager mentioned that his techs were pretty busy doing the V6 crankshaft/conrod bearing recall work .... ties up the lifts for a long time, so they have to be careful scheduling regular maintenance and repair work around that.

My 24 civic si has some minor glitches volume and track change buttons on steering wheel didn’t function today battery randomly died the other day and Honda sense lane mitigation veers to the right and enters the lane and tells me I’m swerving lol will see what happens

Base civic hybrid for the price of the last gen accord touring hybrid

It is alluring….The 11th gen design is growing on me and the specs of this hybrid system sounds really appealing…. And I am almost done paying for this 10th Gen…..Honda is really trying to hold me to the brand…

I would love if Honda offered 17 inch wheels on the Civic Hybrid. 18's just make the car accelerate more slowly, get worse fuel economy, and ride a bit rougher (and noisier too). I wonder if the electric servo brakes had something to do with the 18 inch wheels being the standard wheel size?

It is set up for a Spare tire (has an insert for a threaded Hold-down). How well will a full size tire fit? Dealers charge a lot, but on-line genuine kits are much less, and if you are near a salvage yard can even use a 10th or 9th gen spare.

I thought hybrid vehicles don’t have the 12V battery?

I'm excited. Looking forward to getting the sport touring hybrid in a hatchback. I'm the same way. Never thought I'd get or even be interested in a hybrid. Now 40 year old me, growing up and playing with more traditional Honda engines is excited for a hybrid. Oh well I guess. Nice cars.

Do prior year/s hondas with direct injection have to get the walnut blast treatment on the intake valves or is that not an issue with even the higher mileage DI Hondas?

I have a 2016 Civic Touring and a 2024 Honda HRV Sport. My 1.5L touring has had the Air conditioner recalled twice, currently waiting for my second replacement. 123,000k KM no other real issues. I've treated her well and the last few years I've used 93 premium. I do however love my k20 HRV , not much power but the AWD is a pleasure in the Alberta Canada winter. I almost traded the civic in for a 24 civic 158hp but backed out. Hopefully i don't regret it.

I am driving a 2018 Pilot EX, I encountered the fuel injector issue and transmission issue. Fuel injectors and torque converters were replaced under the extended warranty.

What sucks is they dropped the manuals unless you get an SI

Hi, i have a noise on my honda accord 8 EU version on low speed (0-10mph) coming from the front right wheel shortly before full stopping and going from 0 . I dont hear it when going over bumps… Can it be top mounts or is it from sway ?

I don’t believe you. That sounds like something you made up. One tiny piece of plastic in oil filter? No way it could cause that much damage.
